Job Summary
Overview:
The Field Service Engineer II is responsible for installing maintaining and repairing new and pre-owned machinery while delivering outstanding support to our customers. This role includes both on-site service and occasional in-house work with opportunities to represent the company at trade shows.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and commission new and used machinery at customer sites.
- Provide maintenance troubleshooting and repair for electrical hydraulic pneumatic and mechanical systems.
- Train operators on machine setup programming and operation.
- Assist with trade show setup and equipment demonstrations.
- Perform in-house tasks such as loading unloading and refurbishing equipment.
- Utilize skills in electrical diagnostics mechanical assembly hydraulic adjustments and basic rigging.
- Ensure safe efficient service and maintain positive customer relationships.
- Document service activities clearly and provide feedback to improve future installations.
- Support the service team by sharing best practices and mentoring junior technicians as needed.
Job Requirements
- Associates or technical degree preferred; 3-5 years of relevant field service or machinery experience.
- Strong hands-on background in electrical mechanical hydraulic and fabrication work.
- Valid drivers license with a clean record; ability to travel frequently with overnight stays.
- Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with customers and team members.
- Basic computer skills (Outlook Microsoft Office); ability to complete service reports accurately.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks prioritize under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Customer-focused mindset with a professional and positive attitude.
Physical Requirements
- Travel by car or plane to customer sites.
- Standing kneeling and bending for extended periods while servicing equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform push/pull tasks as needed.
- Capacity to plan and manage trips across various locations.
