Job Description
MW Components in Logansport IN is looking for a Product Engineer to join our team!
Job Summary:
The Product Engineer shall facilitate the design and manufacturing of our next line of products.
Product Engineer responsibilities include designing and overseeing the manufacturing process of our goods to ensure they meet our companys safety and quality you will work closely with our design team to create commodities that meet our organizations standards.
Job Duties:
- Create rough product designs using sketches and computer software.
- Conduct theoretical testing on design models.
- Create full product designs and specifications using computer software modeling techniques.
- Select product materials and design the product manufacturing process.
- Oversee assembly and ensure that products conform to market specifications and safety regulations.
- Provide technical expertise to the Engineering team as needed.
- Other duties and projects as specified by management.
Qualifications:
- A bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or similar field is preferred.
- Proven work experience as a Product Engineer or similar role.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered Skills and Ability.
- Relevant training and/or certifications as a Product Engineer.
- Able to read and interpret technical documents such as technical drawings production instructions safety rules and quality procedures.
- Strong problem-solving skills and creativity.
- Experience with product development processes and tools.
- Advanced analytical and design skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of industry and market trends.
- Computer expertise (Preferably Visual or equivalent ERP software Excel Word Outlook PowerPoint).
- Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to create and maintain positive relationships with employees customers and suppliers.
