Position Summary:
Woodstock High School is seeking a passionate and experienced Head Softball Coach to lead our girls softball program. The successful candidate will guide the team in accordance with the Vermont Principals Association (VPA) rules and regulations promoting skill development sportsmanship and a positive team culture.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and conduct practices games and conditioning sessions aligned with VPA guidelines
Develop players skills and foster teamwork and discipline
Ensure compliance with all VPA eligibility and safety standards
Promote academic achievement alongside athletic commitment
Communicate effectively with players parents school staff and the athletic department
Manage equipment and coordinate game schedules and transportation as needed
Qualifications:
Experience coaching or playing softball at the high school or collegiate level preferred
Knowledge of VPA rules and regulations related to high school softball
Strong leadership communication and organizational skills
Ability to motivate and mentor student-athletes
Commitment to fostering a positive inclusive team environment
Availability for practices games and meetings during evenings and weekends
Benefits:
