About the role
As a Chemist/Lab Technician at Alleima you will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing our electroplating operations. Your key responsibilities will include:
Perform routine chemical analysis of electroplating baths (e.g. pH metal concentration additives).
Adjust chemical concentrations to maintain optimal plating conditions.
Assist in developing and refining electroplating processes for various metals (e.g. nickel gold).
Troubleshoot plating defects and recommend corrective actions.
Calibrate and maintain laboratory instruments (e.g. titration equipment atomic absorption etc).
Follow all safety protocols and environmental regulations related to chemical handling and waste disposal.
Work closely with production quality and engineering teams to support manufacturing goals.
About you
You should have an Associate or Bachelors degree in Chemistry Chemical Engineering or a related field along with 13 years of experience in a chemical lab or electroplating environment. Your strong understanding of electrochemical processes and plating chemistry will be essential in performing routine chemical analysis and maintaining optimal plating conditions. Proficiency in laboratory techniques and safety practices is crucial as is your ability to troubleshoot plating defects and recommend corrective actions. Excellent analytical problem solving and communication skills will help you collaborate effectively with production quality and engineering teams to support manufacturing goals. Experience with ISO 9001 ISO 13485 or other quality management systems familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) and knowledge of wastewater treatment and environmental compliance are preferred.
