The role
The Procurement Specialist acts as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders and internal business functions across indirect (non-IT) procurement categories including Marketing Facility Management People & Culture Travel Finance and Consulting. The role focuses on building procurement governance co-developing sourcing strategies and advancing procurement maturity without owning supplier relationships or contracts.
How youll make an impact
Strategic Business Partnering & Category Support.
Collaborates closely with key stakeholders to develop cross-functional sourcing strategies for relevant categories and subcategories with the aim of maximizing value from the supplier base
Provides market insights best practices and commercial guidance to support informed procurement decisions
Advises and challenges the business on demand definition and specifications to ensure strategic alignment
Actively contributes to the selection of procurement-relevant IT solutions that support
Governance process efficiency and decision-making.
Works closely with Legal Finance Risk Security and other functions to support integrated compliant sourcing decisions
Drives procurement enablement through internal communications knowledge sharing and use of supporting tools
Promotes transparency process alignment and increased procurement maturity across Zuhlke
Procurement Governance Design & Deployment
Responsible for designing and deploying Zühlkes procurement governance framework including:
Mission vision and procurement strategy
Policy and process frameworks
Make-or-buy assessments and sourcing methodology
Supplier selection criteria risk management and decision guidelines
Contracting and supplier management principles
Ensures governance is scalable practical and adopted across the organization
Leads stakeholder training communication and guidance for effective implementation
Whats important to us
University degree in Business Administration Procurement Law or a related field
Proven relevant experience in strategic procurement or procurement governance
Proven experience working with senior stakeholders and developing sourcing strategies
Familiarity with the selection and implementation of procurement-relevant IT solutions is a strong advantage
Solid understanding of indirect procurement and value-based sourcing
Strategic mindset with strong execution capabilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative business-oriented approach
Experienced in navigating matrix organizations and driving change
Fluent in English and proficiency in German or another European language is an asset
