What youll be doing
CRTex (Client Real-time Experience) is a strategic program which will enable a highly personalized client experience through the right channel through a lifetime journey with products service and advice that empowers their ambitions. As a Senior Consultant Business Controls (CRTex) you will provide support in managing operational risk regulatory compliance and business governance for CRTex and related portfolios. You will be responsible for identifying and implementing robust controls to ensure compliance with policies and standards. You will collaborate closely with Digital Banking ECRM and partners across the bank to ensure alignment with governance standards policies and operational frameworks. Your responsibilities will span the development and execution of integrated control improvement solutions management of key controls to mitigate potential losses and the facilitation of key operational programs that drive a strong employee culture and continuous improvement. You will also act as a key relationship manager liaising with stakeholders at all levels to coordinate audit compliance and risk review activities as well as records management and operational tasks essential for business effectiveness.

How youll succeed
Governance & Operational Risk - You have strong familiarity and proficiency with the governance and risk framework within CIBC and apply this knowledge to independently manage operational risk activities for CRTex. You implement and maintain sustainable controls to ensure ongoing compliance with policies standards and regulatory requirements. Develop and implement integrated control improvement solutions across all products and distribution channels.
Risk Assessment & Remediation - You will work closely with the LOB partners to proactively identify risk exposures and control gaps to analyze and synthesize risk exposures operational losses root causes and control gaps and determine materiality. You will propose recommendations to mitigate risk exposures/control gaps. Change Initiative Risk Assessment(CIRA) process ensuring all material risks are identified and compliant to the CIBC CIRA policy and will lead the implementation of remediation plans.
Stakeholder & Relationship Management - Build and manage relationships with stakeholders at all levels influencing outcomes and ensuring alignment on governance and operational matters. Keep senior management apprised of material and emerging risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
Problem Solving - Develop creative solutions to complex challenges considering alternatives and implications.
Reporting & Analysis - Analyze risk exposures root causes and control gaps synthesize findings and recommend mitigation strategies. Develop and present reports summarizing control testing results project status and key operational insights to leadership. Present information clearly and concisely at all organizational levels.
Subject Matter Leadership - Peer mentoring and indirect leadership influencing coaching and negotiation with LOB 2nd and 3rd Line of Defense.
Who you are
You can demonstrate experience. 3 years experience in risk management compliance business controls and/or audit function within the financial services industry. Extensive knowledge of risk management principles practices policies and procedures including audit and business controls. Its an asset if you have project management/project delivery experience.
