Certified Medical Assistant
Part-Time (32 hrs per week)

General Summary:
The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) will work with the Medical Director Nurse Manager the volunteer medical staff and other staff to achieve optimal patient care and satisfaction.
Job Duties:
- Verify identity of the patient
- Review lab requisition to determine lab tests to be obtained
- Obtain and handle patient specimens with adherence to proper lab technique
- Label process and store the specimens appropriately
- Refer to the Quest Lab Reference Book
- Schedule pick up of specimens
- Obtain patient EKGs
- Answering incoming calls
- Scheduling appointments
- Assist with medical interpretation
- Check in and check out patients
- Coordinate with health care providers and specialists to arrange patient appointments and treatment plans
Qualifications:
- Certified Medical Assistant (Required)
- Must be bi-lingual (Spanish) - (Preferred)
- EKG and Phlebotomy experience (Preferred)
- Medical office experience
- Work one late night every other week
- May be required to work one Saturday per month
- Good interpersonal skills
- Experienced electronic medical record and office software
Compensation:
$19 per hour (negotiable depending on experience)
