What youll be doing
The Senior Specialist Events Management is responsible for providing consultation on the development communication and implementation of corporate client events and conferences that support the business strategy to grow revenue market share and client satisfaction.

How youll succeed
Contribute to the design and management of events including research and making recommendations contract negotiation budgeting financial reconciliation and conference management.
Apply a comprehensive conceptual and practical understanding of the organization and delivery of events and conferences to a wide range of business and technical situations.
Solve business operational and technical problems within the scope of their job and forms improvement recommendations to ensure CIBC corporate events meet all business unit and senior management objectives.
Who you are
You have a Bachelors degree in Business or a related field.
You have a minimum of 5 years related experience.
You have exceptional verbal written and organizational skills along with a strong sense of accountability and keen attention to detail.
You have solid relationship managementand networkingskills
You are proactive in planning and organizing
You have strong technical creative and innovative thinking skills
At CIBC we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of $80000K - $85000K for the Chicago IL market based on experience qualifications and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business units incentive compensation plan which may also include a discretionary bonus component.
