Job Summary:
The Production Supervisor and Plannerwill report to the operations manager and supervise production employees as well as create production schedules and complete workorder planning. They will create and manage production schedules to ensure materials equipment and labor are available to meet demand and customer needs. The production supervisor will be responsible for managing area leads and production employees.
Essential job Description:
- Supervise 4 leads and 20 employees across 4 manufacturing product lines.
- Plan and prepare production schedules for manufacturing.
- Ensure MRPs system is accurate and adjusted as needed.
- Coordinates with Customer Service to establish shipping dates for customer orders.
- Creates and distribute workorders to production employees.
- Daily review workorders applied labor and material usage for accuracy.
- Plan and schedules workflow for each department and operation according to previously established manufacturing sequences and lead times.
- Expedite operations that delay schedules and alter schedules to meet unforeseen conditions
- Responsible for weekly production forecasts and job completion tying to monthly budget.
- Verify job status cards to make sure they are entered correctly.
- Verify what material comes in and print work orders and print day before work orders.
- Issue and de-issue material.
- Check MRP to schedule parts with demand.
- Review back log for weekly planning meetings.
- Check emails daily.
- Manage shop supplies and submit reorders to purchasing.
- Make sure everyone on the floor has work for the day.
- Work with purchasing agent on materials needs.
- Review Inventory adjustment before submitting.
Skills and Abilities:
- Working Knowledge of MRP systems Visual a Plus
- Previous Experience as a Manufacture planner and or supervisor.
- Previous Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office specifically excel for reporting
- Ability to read and interpret part specifications or blueprints.
- Good verbal and communication skills.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Five (5) years in manufacturing
- Two (2) years as a planner or supervisor

Salary Range:
- $75000 - $90000/Annually Salary Exempt based on experience.
