Schedule: 8:00 PM - 8:00 AM weekends required

About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Emergency Room Patient Access Representative (ER PAR) to join our healthcare team in Claremore OK. As the first point of contact in the Emergency Room you will play a critical role in ensuring a seamless patient experience by handling registrations verifying insurance and supporting both patients and healthcare providers with compassion and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Registration:Welcome patients collect personal and insurance details and accurately enter data into their electronic health record (EHR).
- Insurance Verification:Confirm patient coverage and benefits with insurance providers documenting results and resolving discrepancies.
- Appointment Scheduling:Coordinate follow-ups and referrals to maximize efficiency and reduce patient wait times.
- Customer Service:Provide empathetic professional support to patients and families during high-stress situations.
- Documentation:Prepare and maintain admission discharge and compliance-related records in alignment with HIPAA and organizational standards.
- Administrative Support:Answer phone calls assist with billing inquiries and maintain organized patient files.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education:High school diploma or GED required; clerical or administrative experience in healthcare preferred.
- Communication:Strong verbal and written communication skills for patient and provider interaction.
- Interpersonal:Empathy patience and professionalism when working with distressed patients.
- Organizational:Ability to manage multiple tasks such as records schedules and billing with accuracy.
- Technical:Proficiency with medical software patient registration systems and basic computer skills.
- Detail-Oriented:Accuracy and compliance-focused in all aspects of patient recordkeeping.
