The Lennar Foundation Medical Centerhas an exciting opportunity for an Ambulatory Registered Nurse 2 (RN 2). The RN 2:

• Is expected to have knowledge of illnesses and symptoms in the management of the ambulatory care patient population.

• Collaborates with the inter-professional care team to provide therapeutic patient and family centered care.

• There are skills and responsibilities that are common across the ambulatory setting (primary or specialty care).

• Strong assessment and organizational skills are necessary.

• Performs a variety of interventions in a faced paced environment.

• Assist in the nursing preceptorship and orientation of nursing staff.

• Assume the charge RN and/or relief charge RN roles in coordination with Nurse Manager

• Triage via Tele Health and in-person clinic visits.(for symptom management)

• Review lab and imaging results and take nursing actions as appropriate per established nursing protocol.

• Review and manage patient and related communications

• Perform and oversee point of care lab testing process.

• Cross train to other clinics to develop proficiency in the nursing care of varied ambulatory specialties.

• Initiate and monitor intravenous (IV) infusions.

• Assist or perform procedures (e.g. ECGs dressing changes subcutaneous or intra-muscular injections etc.)

• Provides personalized patient education based on assessment of learning needs of patient.

• Continuously collects and assesses data related to patient health status to develop execute and evaluate the plan of care.

• Chart preps as needed prior to patients clinic visit.

• Drive clinical decisions and nursing practice related to individual and population health.

• Establish care coordination and transitional care management with the patient family and/or other care providers.

• Considers factors related to safety effectiveness and fiscal accountability in planning and delivering care.

• Delegate and supervise care in accordance with the U Health Nursing Professional Practice Model.

• Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives.

• Assumes responsibility for professional development.

Minimum Qualifications:

Strongly prefer experience with Diabetic teaching and endocrinology

Education:

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing Bachelors degree (BSN) preferred. RNs hired with an Associates (ASN) degree have 2 years to complete the BSN degree.

Certification and Licensing:

• Valid Florida Registered Nurse License BLS certification required

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
