About the Team:
Community Works is Lambeths in-house Direct Labour Organisation (DLO) delivering high-quality communal repairs estate-based maintenance and planned improvement works across the borough. Our focus is on maintaining and enhancing shared spaces improving the appearance and safety of our estates and delivering excellent value for money by reducing reliance on external contractors. Youll be joining a skilled supportive team who take pride in their work and in making a visible difference to the communities we serve.
About the Role:
We are looking for a skilled Painter to carry out painting and decorating works in communal areas and across Lambeths estates. This will include estate improvement projects internal and external communal spaces and planned maintenance programmes. You will ensure that all work is completed to a high standard on time and in line with health and safety requirements. This is a mobile role where youll travel between sites so youll need to be self-motivated organised and committed to delivering quality work that enhances the environment for our residents.
To be considered for interview your CV and supporting statement will clearly evidence:
- Proven experience as a Painter/Decorator ideally in communal or estate-based environments
- Ability to deliver high-quality painting and decorating works to shared spaces and external areas
- Good knowledge of health and safety requirements with a commitment to safe working practices
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills with a resident-focused approach
- Ability to work independently manage your workload effectively and meet agreed deadlines
- Ideally hold a Level 2 NVQ (or equivalent) in Painting and Decorating but relevant experience will also be considered
