Position Objective:

The Lean Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Production Director and Supervisors to continuously improving production systems to ensure that daily operations are capable of meeting demand expectations. Must hold paramount achieving customer excellence and employee safety. Provide to the Supervisors teams support in daily operations develop and implement improvement projects in current assembly lines and machining areas.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Support lean initiatives including and demand-driven continuous flow 6-S and elimination of wastes through the use of lean principles. Track progress through the use of A3s and KPIs.
  2. Assist supervisors and manufacturing engineers to execute shop / production line transformations.
  3. Work with operations team to implement and sustain standard operating procedures including standard work (PWI) deployments. Continuously improve standard work.
  4. Perform other duties and assume accountability as apparent or as delegated including mutually agreed upon objectives.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED and three (3) years manufacturing or assembly experience;

or an equivalent combination of education training and experience as determined by the hiring manager and Human Resources.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Pursuit of higher education in related field highly desired
  • Prefer past experience in a lean / continuous improvement environment

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Basic understanding of assembly / manufacturing processes and procedures
  • Ability to communicate with peers production team members and leadership to solve problems
  • Ability to be on the floor doing 5S improving processes building racks

Pay: $21hr
