Position Summary
NIGHT SHIFT : MONDAY FRIDAY FROM 9:00PM 5:30AM This is work supervising and assisting custodian 2s and custodian 1s in maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of all flooring types in all Downtown Campus LSUHSC buildings requiring. This position is considered an essential personnel position and must be available to respond to campus emergencies after hours and during campus closures. The employee may be assigned to the emergency team that remains on campus and or evacuates to an off-site location during emergency events. This position may be placed on the On-Call rotation. Must have a current drivers license Knowledge of supervisory principles and practices. Knowledge of institutional floor care and maintenance procedures Knowledge of institutional cleaning and disinfecting procedures. Knowledge of operator service and use of commercial-grade housekeeping equipment. Skill in applying supervisory principles and practices. Skill in performing institutional floor care and maintenance procedures. Skill in performing disinfecting procedures. Skill in performing operator service and use of commercial-grade housekeeping equipment. Ability to supervise people. Ability to perform institutional floor care and maintenance procedures. Ability to perform tasks requiring bending stopping kneeling and walking significant distances between and within buildings on campus. Ability to perform duties within extreme temperature ranges between the interiors and exteriors of the buildings. Visual ability corrected to observe dangerous situations in the work area (such as wet floors) to redirect people to avoid injuries. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others. Ability to communicate information effectively in English both verbally and in writing.
