Shift Schedule: MondayFriday 8:00 AM4:30 PM and 4:00 PM11:30 PM
Pay Rate Range: $60 $63 Hourly
Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking X-Ray Technician for an exciting Travel or Local job in Astoria NY.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and position patients for radiologic procedures with attention to comfort and safety.
- Operate and adjust radiology equipment immobilization devices and exposure settings.
- Adhere to strict radiation safety and shielding protocols to minimize exposure.
- Perform infection control procedures in line with hospital and regulatory standards.
- Process review and optimize radiographic images to meet diagnostic requirements.
- Accurately document and verify exams in patient and department records.
- Monitor troubleshoot and maintain radiology equipment functionality.
- Manage and replenish departmental supplies as needed.
- Maintain CME requirements and participate in ongoing professional development.
- Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to support patient care and workflow efficiency.
- Complete age-specific competencies and additional assigned duties as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Licensure / Certification
- New York State Licensed Radiologic Technologist (L.R.T) required
- ARRT Certification (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) required
Education
- Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology required
Core Skills
- Strong diagnostic imaging and technical proficiency
- Patient-centered care with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Team-oriented with a focus on safety quality and dependability
- Commitment to hospital protocols compliance and regulatory standards
