Electronic System Engineer Test Expert
Location: Santa Ana CA (Headquarters)
Citizenship Requirement: U.S. Citizenship Required
Overview: Our client is seeking a highly skilled Electronic System Engineer with deep expertise in test system design and development. This role focuses on the creation and implementation of Automated Test Equipment (ATE) Interface Test Adapters (ITAs) harnesses and printed circuit boards (PCBs). The ideal candidate will play a key role in defining system requirements supporting customers and driving technical excellence across projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop ATE systems ITAs harnesses and simple PCBs
- Define technical requirements and provide hands-on customer support
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system performance and reliability
- Contribute to prototype development and system validation
Preferred Expertise:
- Familiarity with RF systems and FPGA technologies
- Background in military or aerospace applications
- Experience with data acquisition systems signal conditioning and ATE architecture
- Strong foundation in digital and analog electronics PWB design
- Proven experience with NI (National Instruments) or Keysight tools and platforms
Hardware Proficiency:
- PXI and cRIO platforms
- Spectrum analyzers network analyzers digital multimeters (DMMs) and oscilloscopes
Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE/MSEE)
- Minimum 5 - 15 years of hands-on experience in test system hardware development
- U.S. citizenship is required due to project and client requirements
