About the role
The Head of SIU and EVCCis a dual-function leadership role responsible for providing enterprise-level oversight and strategic direction for both the Special Investigations Unit (SIU)and the Elder Vulnerable Client Care (EVCC)function. This role ensures the efficient execution of insurance fraud investigations across all lines of business while simultaneously driving the organizations approach to safeguarding elderly and vulnerable clients from financial abuse cognitive decline or diminished capacity. The position ensures that both functions operate in compliance with internal policies regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
Develop and execute a comprehensive strategic roadmap for both SIU and EVCC aligned with Corebridges enterprise objectives.
Establish and lead high-performing collaborative teams focused on continuous improvement and effective service delivery.
Drive organizational excellence through improvements in structure culture technology adoption and cost management.
Special Investigations Unit (SIU) Oversight
Serve as the subject matter expert on insurance-related fraud investigations across all lines of business.
Oversee the full investigation lifecycle ensuring adherence to service level agreements (SLAs) accuracy and confidentiality.
Maintain and enhance the fraud investigation database with relevant case outcomes and analytics.
Conduct internal reviews to ensure effective resolution through root cause identification and reporting.
Elder Vulnerable Client Care (EVCC) Leadership
Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for EVCC ensuring at-risk clients receive tailored protection and ethical treatment.
Drive company-wide initiatives to identify support and safeguard elderly clients who may be financially vulnerable.
Partner with business units and client-facing teams to ensure staff are trained to detect and respond to signs of vulnerability.
Monitor external trends and regulatory changes affecting elder client care and adapt policies and training accordingly.
Enterprise Risk & Compliance
Ensure full compliance with internal policies regulatory standards and external reporting requirements.
Collaborate with compliance legal and business leadership to implement risk mitigation actions and close any identified control gaps.
Prepare and present reports trend analyses and policy recommendations to leadership and governance committees.
Qualifications
15 years of experience in fraud investigations legal compliance risk management or a related field. Working at a Life Insurance or Annuity company is required.
Experience in managing complex investigations within a regulated environment.
Understanding of investigative principles laws regulations and compliance legislation.
Advanced working knowledge in investigating consumer lines of insurance a plus.
Understanding of elder financial vulnerability fraud risk and regulatory frameworks.
Written and Verbal Communication: Ability to communicate in a structured and crisp manner; can engage senior leadership to get the point across using deductive or top town communication approach.
Strong Analytical Thinking & Problem Solver: Ability to breakdown complex issues into smaller addressable solutions; can take a strategic point of view in formulating actions and solutions.
Project Management: Structured organized and can create actionable implementation plans and timelines; knows how to deliver on time and manage teams and stakeholders to deliver to the same.
Change Leader: Ability to influence and take stakeholders partners and team along in driving the change; knows how to communicate what to avoid surprises or issues with all partners; a continuous improvement mindset.
Strong People Leader: Sets clear direction to the teams and actionable deliverables; data driven and manages through metrics; strong coach and people developer; ability to assess talent consistently and fairly.

If the position is based in one of Corebridge Financials hub offices which is Houston TX Jersey City NJ. or Woodland Hills CA office the role is subject to our hybrid working policy which gives colleagues the benefits of working both in an office and remotely. However we are open to considering full remote candidates outside of these areas.
