About the role

We are looking for an Early Careers Specialist on a Fixed Term Full Time basis.

Elders National Early Careers program is seeking a passionate organised professional to lead and evolve the program focusing on ongoing development engagement and retention of early careers talent. This role will join the Culture and Capability team working collaboratively to design and deliver impactful initiatives that support talent growth and strengthen organisational capability.

While recruitment is a small part of this role the main responsibility lies in keeping our early career employees engaged and supported throughout their journey working closely with product managers mentors and leaders to deliver meaningful learning and development experiences.

Strong project management skills and a significant administrative component underpin the smooth running of the program ensuring participants are set up for success and the program continually improves.

Responsibilities

Take ownership of the Early Careers program with a focus on candidate engagement development rotations and wellbeing.
Support early career employees with coaching mentoring and regular check-ins to build confidence and capability.
Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders (product managers mentors leaders) and external partners to continuously improve the program and align it with business needs.
Manage and optimise the development system ensuring clear communication and smooth coordination of activities.
Track and report on program outcomes providing insights and recommendations for enhancement.
Support workforce planning by aligning intake numbers and timing to business requirements.

About you

Passionate about early careers development and organisational growth with strong interpersonal skills to inspire and support emerging talent.
HR qualified (Bachelors or equivalent experience) with at least 12 months preferably 2 years experience in HR generalist L&D or organisational development roles.
Excellent project management skills able to juggle multiple priorities and manage a large administrative workload.
Proven communicator and relationship builder comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels including product managers and early career employees.
Experience or interest in livestock agronomy or agribusiness sectors is a strong advantage.
Adelaide-based with availability for full-time work preferred open to part-time (4 days).
Fixed-term contract until September 2026.
