Pay Ranges from $37.50-$50.00/hr based on years of experience.
Centurion Health is proud to be the provider ofcomprehensive healthcare services to the KansasDepartment of Corrections.
We are currently seeking a Full-time Utilization Management (UM) Nurse to join our team at LansingCorrectional Facilitylocated in Lansing Kansas.
The Utilization Management (UM) Nurse (Medical) performs the review of requests for prior authorization of medical services including diagnostic outpatient care and other services using defined criteria. The UM Nurse is reponsible for managing admissions through fax/telephonic review to ensure medical necessity and appropriate level of care reviewing and auditing patient medical records as indicated to determine medical necessity and serving as a clinical resource and liaison for site and hospital referral staff.
Qualifications
Associates degree required
Registered Nurse (RN) license required
Utilization management experience required
InterQual experience preferred
Two (2) years of clinical nursing experience and one (1) year of experience in performing prior authorization review required
Experience using medical management software programs required
Experience working with a correctional institution or agency preferred
Must be able to pass background investigation and obtain agency security clearance
