Who are we looknig for
Junior Field Test Engineer
Description:
You will be responsible for testing and validating smartphones and wireless devices in real-world environments to ensure optimal performance and user experience.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct field testing of smartphones and wireless devices across various network technologies (2G 3G 4G 5G Wi-Fi Bluetooth);
- Analyze network KPIs such as call drops data throughput and handovers;
- Log and report issues using internal tools and platforms;
- Collaborate with R&D QA and network teams to troubleshoot and validate issues;
- Perform software and firmware updates on test devices;
- Follow detailed test plans and procedures accurately and on schedule;
- Document test results and findings in a clear and structured format.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Telecommunications Electronics Computer Science or a related field.
- Basic understanding of mobile communication standards (IMS GSM WCDMA LTE 5G NR).
- Familiarity with Android FWA MiFi and wearable devices.
- Hands-on experience with tools like QXDM ELT LOGEL or similar.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Proficient in English and Spanish (written and spoken).
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Previous internship or co-op experience in mobile testing RF or network optimization is a plus.
- Knowledge of scripting or data analysis tools is an advantage.
- Willingness and flexibility to travel frequently to Madrid for testing and team coordination (80% Madrid)
Working model: hybrid (2 x per week in the office)
Location: Lisbon and Madrid
