Position Summary:
Reporting to the VP Engineering the Technical Lead will architect design and build our next-generation lending platform. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment enjoys solving complex technical challenges and is passionate about building scalable secure and innovative financial systems.
Major Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end architecture of the lending platform ensuring scalability reliability and performance.; this will include evaluation selection and integration of necessary technical components that realize the defined functional and non-functional requirements.
- Collaborate with product managers designers and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Own the technical roadmap and ensure alignment with business goals.
- Guide and mentor a team of engineers through technical challenges and career growth.
- Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies in fintech and lending.
- Contribute to strategic decisions around platform evolution and technical debt management.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field.
- 8 years of software development experience with at least 3 years in a technical leadership role.
- Proven experience architecting complex products/platforms
- Strong proficiency in modern backend technologies (e.g. Spring Java) frontend frameworks (e.g. React React Native) Cloud platforms (Azure) containerization (Docker Kubernetes) and DevOps practices.
- Experience with data modeling security compliance (e.g. SOC2 PCI).
- Excellent communication leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Prior experience in start-up or high growth fintech environment as an added plus
