Help set up and operate CNC lathes under supervision
CNC (Computer Numerical Control) lathe machines are used in manufacturing precision components. While the exact duties can vary slightly depending on the department heres a breakdown of what the role generally involves:
CNC Lathe Helper Responsibilities
- Assist Machine Operators: Help set up and operate CNC lathes under supervision ensuring materials are loaded correctly and tools are in place.
- Material Handling: Prepare raw materials for machining including measuring cutting and positioning them for processing.
- Tooling Support: Identify and organize the correct tools for each job and assist with tool changes during production runs.
- Quality Checks: Perform basic inspections of finished parts using measuring instruments like calipers and micrometers to ensure they meet specifications.
- Clean & Maintain Equipment: Keep machines and work areas clean lubricated and free of debris to maintain safety and efficiency.
- Documentation: Record production data machine settings and any issues encountered during operation.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols including wearing PPE and adhering to machine operation guidelines.
Schedule: Monday -Saturday 6 AM -4 PM
