CNC Lathe Helper Responsibilities
- Assist Machine Operators: Help set up and operate CNC lathes under supervision ensuring materials are loaded correctly and tools are in place.
- Material Handling: Prepare raw materials for machining including measuring cutting and positioning them for processing.
- Tooling Support: Identify and organize the correct tools for each job and assist with tool changes during production runs.
- Quality Checks: Perform basic inspections of finished parts using measuring instruments like calipers and micrometers to ensure they meet specifications.
- Clean & Maintain Equipment: Keep machines and work areas clean lubricated and free of debris to maintain safety and efficiency.
- Documentation: Record production data machine settings and any issues encountered during operation.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols including wearing PPE and adhering to machine operation guidelines.
