We are seeking a highly skilled Accounts Receivable Lead within our Finance Global Business Services (GBS). This role will be responsible for supervising the accounts receivable function ensuring efficient processes compliance with accounting standards and effective team management.

This job is based in Cluj-Napoca Romania.

We provide a flexible working schedule with the option of working hybrid.

In This Role Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Supervise the AR team provide leadership mentorship and foster a collaborative work environment to drive performance and professional development.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation policies and procedures for the AR Collections Credit and Cash application processes ensuring alignment with the companys financial goals and risk management strategies.
  • Analyze adjustments and deductions to identify trends and root causes driving process improvements and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including finance sales and operations to optimize the AR & Collections process and enhance overall performance.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant internal policies accounting standards and regulatory requirements related to accounts receivable and collections.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive reports on AR performance providing insights into outstanding balances cash flow and collection effectiveness to senior management.
  • Develop ad-hoc reports and support special projects to enhance the accounts receivable process.
  • Run the month end-process and close the AR subledger to Europe.
  • Act as a key point of contact for escalated issues related to accounts receivable and collections facilitating resolutions and maintaining strong customer relationships.
  • Monitor the performance of the AR & Collections function implementing strategies to improve collection rates and reducing days sales outstanding (DSO).

For This Role You Will Need:

  • Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Business Administration or a related field.
  • 4 -7 years of experience in a relevant role.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and generate reports.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with financial software and Oracle.
  • Solid understanding of credit and collection management processes and best practices.
  • Fluency in English both spoken and written.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

  • Masters degree in a relevant field or Chartered Accountant designation.
  • Proficiency in one additional European language: French German Italian Spanish.
