Job Summary
Location: Remote EST time zone in Canada
Hours of work: Fulltime 40 hours per week
Reports to: Financial Controller

What Youll Do
Complete payments to external stakeholders and contractors
Record all payments utilizing accounting procedures
Reconcile payments against billing and bank statements within designated timeframes
Respond to inquires providing timely communication to internal and external stakeholders
Diligently follow all contractual agreements required policies procedures and laws in regard to payments fraud and errors in accounting systems
Process payroll and reimbursements to staff members verifying documentation and data to ensure accurate payment
Compare system reports to balances and generate regular or ad-hoc reports for budget control and business decision purposes
Proactively work with Financial Controller to review and improve internal accounting standards and processes.
What You Bring
Accounting or Financial degree or diploma
3-7 years of Accounts Payable experience (or equivalent education & experience) bonus if you have relevant experience in a start-up/scale-up and/or US tax regulations
Advanced Excel skills including knowledge of Excel power queries
Previous experience using Quickbooks Online experience using Salesforce an asset
Ability to successfully pass a Criminal Background Check and Credit Check
High attention to detail paired with exceptional organizational skills
Can effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
Ability to prioritise workload and adapt to varies deadlines as required
A growth mindset with a can-do attitude with the aptitude to ask questions when needed
Ability to handle confidential information
