Procor Limited manages Canadas largest private tank car lease fleet and operates an extensive repair network across the country. The fleet has grown to include more than 30500 special purpose tank and freight cars. Procor also operates 27 repair locations servicing the petroleum petrochemicals plastics chemicals fertilizers and food markets.

The normal hours of work will be Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. Please be advised that schedules may change as business requirements dictate.

The starting hourly rate for this role is $ 33.67.

Essential Responsibilities:

Cutfitand repairrailcars their components and otheritemsas necessary tofacilitate railcarrepair.
Aidother teammembers as necessary to facilitaterailcar repairandproductivity.
Perform all necessaryAAR repairs torailcarsincludingcuttingstraighteningcleaning blasting andcarrepair.
PerformanddocumentqualitycontrolchecksasrequiredbyCompany quality standards.
Perform basic P.M. checksonusedequipment.
Complywith company and regulatory safetyandenvironmentalstandards.
Meet productionschedules.
Appropriately wear and utilize all of the following types of safety equipment in accordance with EHS instruction and requirements: Respirators (full and half face) hearing protection eye protection steel toed boots and fall protection.
Additional related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

1 months experience using Mig Welding (FCAW).
Must be mechanically inclined and able to operate the needed tools for the position.
Mustbe able toreadandunderstand writtenworkorders andmaterialsafety data sheets.
Must be able to pass an in-house weld test.
Must be able to work in an environment with continuous exposure to outdoor weather conditions with dust fumes and noise. Must be able to climb stoop and bend repeatedly carry hand and power tools.
Must be able to work in confined spaces and heights of 15 feet.
Mustpasscompanyphysicalincludingpulmonaryfunctionchestandbackx-rays.
Mustbeatleast18yearsofageandeligibletoworkinCanada.
Willingness to comply with pre-employment screening reference verification and background check.

Preferred:

HighSchoolDiploma orequivalent experience.
Previous experiencewithrailcarconstructionor general steel work.
Pre-Employment Welding Course.
Blueprint reading.

Welding skills and WHMIS training would be an asset. Effective communication and organizational skills strong initiative and ability to work well under pressure are also desirable.
