We are looking for a highly experienced Legal Counsel to join our partners leadership team. This role will be responsible for overseeing a wide range of legal matters including commercial contracts real estate employment law corporate governance and dispute resolution. The position requires strong business acumen excellent negotiation skills and the ability to provide strategic legal guidance to senior management.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial & Contract Law
- Draft review and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts including leases vendor agreements partnerships and service contracts
- Manage legal aspects of business development procurement and strategic partnerships
- Provide clear business-oriented legal advice to senior management
Real Estate & Property Law
- Lead negotiations with landlords and property owners for new locations renewals and lease amendments
- Mitigate risks in real estate contracts and ensure compliance with local regulations
- Advise on construction facility management and expansion-related legal matters
Employment & Labor Law
- Oversee compliance with employment laws including contracts policies and dispute resolution
- Provide legal guidance on disciplinary actions terminations and labor law obligations
- Partner with People & Culture teams to align HR policies with Turkish labor legislation
Corporate Governance & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations across all operations
- Support the board and executive team with governance matters
- Liaise with external counsel and government authorities when required
Risk Management & Dispute Resolution
- Anticipate potential legal risks and design mitigation strategies
- Manage litigation arbitration and negotiations with external law firms
- Represent our partner in sensitive negotiations and dispute settlements
Requirements
- Law degree from a reputable university; Masters degree or LL.M. is a plus
- 710 years of legal experience ideally in both law firm and corporate/startup environments
- Expertise in Commercial Employment/Labor and Real Estate Law
- Proven track record in negotiating with landlords contractors and commercial partners
- Strong experience in drafting reviewing and negotiating complex contracts
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate with C-level executives
- Strong problem-solving and risk management capabilities
- Fluency in Turkish and English both written and spoken
