Role : Scrum Master & Agile Release Train Engineer
Location: Reston ONLY 3 Days Hybrid
Description:
As a valued colleague of the team the Scrum Master will help facilitate Agile Release Train (ART) execution within and across multiple teams. The ideal candidate will have a Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (SAFe Scrum Kanban) who facilitates program-level processes and execution drives continuous improvement and ensures alignment across stakeholders. The candidate will be responsible for and should have prior experience:
Acting as a strategic leader and coach for the ART ensuring effective Agile execution.
Synchronizing activities across multiple Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe ) architecture and development teams.
Facilitating Agile events: PI Planning System Demos Scrum of Scrums and ART syncs.
Establishing and managing calendars for iterations and program increments.
Identifying and managing program-level risks and dependencies.
Escalating and resolving impediments affecting ART performance.
Developing SAFe metrics reporting that provide valuable insights to senior leadership driving change and decision making.
Providing regular updates to senior leadership.
Coaching teams and leaders on Lean Agile principles.
Ensuring ART compliance with the change management process.
Identifying and driving continuous improvement opportunities and best practices across the ART.
Minimum Experience/Requirements:
7 years of experience as a Scrum Master and Release Train Engineer.
Excellent facilitation communication and leadership skills.
Solid experience using Jira and developing reporting metrics to gauge ART performance and predictability.
Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (SAFe Scrum Kanban).
Ability to influence and lead without direct authority.
Experience in large-scale enterprise environments.
SAFe Scrum Master or similar certification.
SAFe RTE certification (strongly preferred).
