Business Analyst:

This is a Contract on-site (US) role with zero travel. Hours for this position are Monday-Friday 8:00 am -5:00 pm AZ.

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst (BA) with strong expertise in the healthcare industry particularly in claims processing member and provider data and EDI transactions (/271 276/277). The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams gathering requirements analyzing workflows and validating solutions. This role requires both domain expertise in healthcare and technical proficiency in SQL Server for data analysis validation and reporting.

Required Qualifications / Responsibilities: 7 years of experience in

Gathering document and validate business and technical requirements from stakeholders.
Analyze and map healthcare processes including claims eligibility provider and member data.
Create functional specifications user stories and acceptance criteria for development teams.
Work with stakeholders to define business rules workflows and reporting needs.
Collaborate with developers QA testers and product owners to ensure requirements are properly implemented.
Use SQL Server to run queries validate data perform root cause analysis and support testing/reporting efforts.
Document current state vs. future state processes and identify areas for improvement.
Ensure solutions align with HIPAA EDI and healthcare compliance standards.
Actively participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies (sprint planning backlog refinement reviews retrospectives).
Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for healthcare data and processes.
Excellent problem-solving skills
Good verbal and written communication skills
Should be able to work independently
