Variable Shifts (Full-time)
8-hour shifts only:

6:00 AM 2:30 PM
7:00 AM 3:00 PM
8:00 AM 4:00 PM
9:00 AM 5:00 PM
3:00 PM 11:00 PM
Rotating Weekends Required

Position Summary:

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist is responsible for preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals conducting nuclear medicine imaging procedures and ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the diagnostic process. This role plays a critical part in assisting physicians with diagnosis and treatment planning by delivering high-quality imaging results.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and physician orders.
Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals following established safety guidelines.
Operate gamma cameras SPECT PET and other nuclear imaging equipment.
Ensure proper radiation safety measures are observed for patients staff and self.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of procedures.
Assist in quality assurance and equipment calibration activities.
Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
Participate in rotating weekend and on-call schedules as required.

Qualifications:

Licensure/Certification Requirements:

Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) NMTCB or
Registered Radiographer (ARRT) in Nuclear Medicine
State Registered Radiologic Technician Florida
Basic Life Support (BLS)-Must be obtained within 30 days of hire
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Must be obtained within 30 days of hire

Education:

Associate Degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or Radiologic Sciences (Required)
