Guaranteed Hours: (36 hours/week)
Compensation: Based on experience (Negotiable)
Shift:

Variable Shifts (Full-time)
8-hour shifts only:

  • 6:00 AM 2:30 PM
  • 7:00 AM 3:00 PM
  • 8:00 AM 4:00 PM
  • 9:00 AM 5:00 PM
  • 3:00 PM 11:00 PM
    Rotating Weekends Required

Position Summary:

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist is responsible for preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals conducting nuclear medicine imaging procedures and ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the diagnostic process. This role plays a critical part in assisting physicians with diagnosis and treatment planning by delivering high-quality imaging results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and physician orders.
  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals following established safety guidelines.
  • Operate gamma cameras SPECT PET and other nuclear imaging equipment.
  • Ensure proper radiation safety measures are observed for patients staff and self.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of procedures.
  • Assist in quality assurance and equipment calibration activities.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Participate in rotating weekend and on-call schedules as required.
Qualifications:

Licensure/Certification Requirements:

  • Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) NMTCB or
  • Registered Radiographer (ARRT) in Nuclear Medicine
  • State Registered Radiologic Technician Florida
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)-Must be obtained within 30 days of hire
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Must be obtained within 30 days of hire

Education:

  • Associate Degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or Radiologic Sciences (Required)
