Job Summary

Network & Security Support Engineer

Role Objective:

Manage and secure the organisations network infrastructure including firewalls switches and
VPNs ensuring reliable and secure connectivity.

Key Responsibilities:
Configure monitor and manage FortiGate firewalls (policies SSL VPN IPS content filtering).
Administer Cisco Layer 2/3 switches including VLAN configuration trunking and routing
protocols.
Administer Wired & Wireless networking along with Guest Wi-Fi Management
Monitor and respond to network alerts from NMS tools (PRTG Zabbix or equivalent).
Ensure network availability in compliance with security and uptime SLAs.
Implement changes in line with the organisations IT Security Policy.
Troubleshoot and resolve escalated network and connectivity issues.
Document network diagrams firewall rules and configuration changes.
Support security audits and implement remediation recommendations.

Desired Profile:

Graduate in IT/Computer Networks or equivalent.
4 6 years of experience in network and security operations.
Strong working knowledge of FortiGate firewalls and Cisco switching/routing.
Understanding of VPNs IPS/IDS and content/web filtering technologies.
Familiarity with NMS tools such as PRTG Zabbix or SolarWinds.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in enterprise network environments.
