Responsibilities

• Provides a comprehensive range of I&IT business analysis services for clients with diverse business and technological needs.
• Interacts with the business stakeholders and subject matter experts in order to understand their requirements through gathering documenting and analyzing business needs and requirements.
• Prepares and advises on business analysis policies processes best practices and standards to promote a comprehensive and consistent business analysis practice within the organization.

General Skills

• Leads and conducts business analysis in order to assess clients business problems/opportunities and documents the business requirements in such a way that I&IT solutions can be determined.
• Applies re-engineering concepts to promote business improvements through alternative and cost-effective service delivery approaches.
• Leads and conducts business analysis at varying levels of detail appropriate to the project and phases of project aligning with OPS Unified Project Management Methodology Enterprise Architecture and Gating Process and OPS Standard Systems Development Methodologies.
• Develops strategies prepares business cases and cost-benefit analysis and conducts feasibility studies for business I&IT initiatives.
• Develops sound processes for requirements gathering including but not limited to JAD sessions interviews mockups etc.
• Conducts business modeling; use case modeling; conceptual and logical data modeling; process and data flow modeling; use case surveys; business rules definition and non-functional requirements definitions for assigned projects.
• Monitors progress resolves problems and reports regularly to I&IT management and stakeholders.
• Develops performance measures and traceability matrices for business analysis evaluation and conducts follow-up.
• Experience developing strategies preparing business cases and cost-benefit analysis.
• Experience conducting requirements gathering developing documentation including presentations and briefing notes and conducting stakeholder engagement.
• Experience in the use of Computer Aided Software Engineering (CASE) tools to document conceptual requirements and scope.
• Awareness of emerging I&IT trends and technologies.

Responsibilities / Assignment Deliverables:

The Senior Business Analysts will work closely with the Business Team Business Architect Systems Architect Technical Architect Development Team and Project Manager to ensure completeness of requirements and full understanding of business expectations. Sr. Business Analyst will generate artifacts that demonstrate how business operations and systems inter-operate within the organization to support new correspondence business this period the Sr. Business Analyst will deliver the following:

1. Gather and document requirements create user stories
2. Write test cases and perform end to end testing
3. Analyze data collected
4. Create reports and dashboard to present data
5. Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to complete various tasks
6. Screen Design/User Interface
7. Business Process Models
8. System Functional Requirements (including use cases)
9. Support the design and implementation of data extraction transformation storage and serving processes to ensure efficient and scalable data management across business solutions like using power BI.
10. Other business domain artifacts as per GO-ITS 56 Enterprise Architecture
11. Support the development of Business Architecture
12. Support the completion of the Threat Risk Assessment
13. Support the development of Logical Architecture Artifacts
14. Collaborate with the AI specialists to define validate and implement AI-driven functionalities ensuring alignment with business processes and user expectations.
15. Support the user acceptance testing change management efforts including training and communication.

The Senior Business Analyst will also conduct sessions to verify the artifacts evaluate technologies and create the artifacts that demonstrate how business operations and systems inter-operate within the organization to support new correspondence business processes.

Required Skillset:

1. Candidate should have 10 years experience in business analysis and modeling
2. Experience in the following areas:
   1. Gathering and documenting requirements
   2. End to end testing
   3. Data analysis
   4. Reporting and dashboards
   5. Knowledge of AI technology
   6. Development of business strategies
   7. Business process re-engineering and Data Management & Analytics

3. Screen Design (GUI Designer - Balsamiq & Figma)
4. Experience in structured object oriented and agile methodologies for users-requirements elicitation and the development of specifications

6. Proven ability to support the client in development of presentation materials briefing notes etc. related to the project.
7. Ensure that the artifacts are aligned with the enterprise architecture standards and principles (i.e. GO-ITS 56)
8. Good understanding of OPS corporate policy development and communications business processes and general practices
9. Good understanding of the components of the Government of Ontarios senior level reporting as it exists today and the types of decision-making tools used such as dash boards correspondence communications planning issues/briefing notes FOI requests and financial and HR reporting.
10. Experience working on a Document Management System or/and Customer Relationship Management System (CRM) andor Talent Management (TM) or Human Resources Management System (HRMS) would be considered an advantage.
11. Experience in project management including defining and managing sprint scope clearly outlining and monitoring deliverables identifying risks and leading and motivating team members to achieve successful outcomes.
12. Practical experience with AI technologies such as machine learning natural language processing or predictive analytics including understanding of how these can be applied to business analysis data interpretation and decision support.
13. Experience working with AI tools or platforms (e.g. Azure AI Google Cloud AI OpenAI etc.) to support business analysis automate processes or enhance user experience.
