Location: Georgetown KY

Work Type: Onsite

JOB SUMMARY:

Develop project estimates for building construction renovation or improvements of industrial and commercial buildings.
Project estimates include anything from moving a restroom to building a new production plant building
Perform cost analysis of projects currently proposed or recently completed using conceptual designs or engineered drawings
Support other Planning group members with similar project cost estimations.
Continue development of unit costs from current and historical projects and support estimating software development.
Work collaboratively with all levels including executive managers technical experts and construction managers.

Requirements:

Required Qualifications:

Project estimating experience for construction in industrial and/or commercial buildings
Technical knowledge of design/building construction engineering and schedule management
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
Ability to create budgetary estimates based on a conceptual scope of work with very few drawings available
Ability to analyze contractor bids to locate potential scope gaps
Ability to analyze completed project data to build historical project data for comparison with conceptual projects in development

Additional Desired Qualifications:

Construction Management degree or equivalent experience and training
Experience with estimating software (ProEst Acubid Planswift etc)
General understanding of construction safety programs and requirements
Intermediate skill level with Microsoft Office suite (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook/Teams Project) plus working knowledge of AutoCad / Bluebeam or other drawing and take-off software

Education:

Bachelors degree Engineering Architecture Construction Mgmt or Equivalent experience

Experience:

5 years or less.
