Job Title: IEEE 802.15.4 Test Engineer
Job Location: Sunnyvale CA

Job Duration: 3 months Contract to Hire

Job Summary:

We are looking for IEEE 802.15.4 Test Engineers to support clients device testing programs.
This is an onsite role in Sunnyvale CA working directly with clients lab infrastructure.
Candidates should have experience in testing low-power wireless protocols such as Zigbee Thread or other 802.15.4-based technologies.

Job Responsibilities:

Develop and execute test plans for 802.15.4-based protocols (Zigbee Thread).
Perform functional performance and interoperability testing.
Use tools like Wireshark Silicon Labs Network Analyzer or Telegesis for protocol debugging.
Automate test cases using Python or similar scripting languages.
Analyze logs identify issues and collaborate with development teams for resolution.
Document test procedures results and maintain test coverage.

Qualifications:

3 years of experience in 802.15.4 protocol testing.
Strong understanding of Zigbee/Thread stack and device commissioning.
Experience with protocol analyzers and debugging tools.
Proficiency in Python or similar scripting for automation.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Experience with certification processes (Zigbee Alliance Thread Group).
Familiarity with embedded systems and low-power wireless design.
Exposure to multi-protocol coexistence testing.
Experience in Agile development environments.
