Job Description

Title: Sr. Design Engineer
Pay Rate Range: $130.00 $160.00/hr. (DOE)
Employment Type: Contract
Estimated End Date: March 2026
Schedule: Full-time 1st shift (9/80 schedule: Mon Thu 7:30 AM 5:00 PM Fri 7:30 AM 4:00 PM every other Friday off)

Tekberry is looking for a highly qualified and motivated Sr. Design Engineer to work on-site with our client a worldwide designer manufacturer and integrator of precision control components this role you will lead the development of complex electrical hardware and circuit card assemblies for aerospace and space applications. As a W2 employee you will have access to health benefits.

Responsibilities:
  • Design validate and develop advanced electronic control hardware and circuit card assemblies (analog and digital).

  • Conduct detailed electrical analyses including signal integrity worst-case analysis derating and bandwidth analysis.

  • Select components and materials to ensure manufacturability reliability and compliance with FAA NASA and military standards.

  • Collaborate with customers to define requirements propose innovative design solutions and contribute to technical proposals.

  • Lead and participate in design reviews; present concepts analyses and progress updates to stakeholders.

  • Review and provide feedback on designs created by other engineers.

  • Work cross-functionally with manufacturing testing and reliability teams to ensure compatibility and readiness for space-qualified hardware.

  • Prepare accurate design documentation test plans and reports.

Must-Have Qualifications:
  • U.S. Citizen Naturalized Citizen or Green Card holder (required).

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering.

  • Minimum of 10 years experience in electrical design engineering.

  • Expertise in:

    • Analog and digital CCA design

    • High-speed design and high-speed digital signal integrity

    • High-speed memory design

    • PCB design knowledge

    • Advanced troubleshooting

    • Worst-case circuit analysis & derating analysis

  • Proven ability to work independently on complex projects.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience as an FPGA Design Engineer.

  • Previous work on space-qualified or aerospace hardware programs.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present to senior leaders and clients.

  • Demonstrated success in delivering production-ready designs for space applications.
