An established client is seeking a proactive Claims Clerk to join their Withdrawal Claims Department. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with strong administrative skills and experience in claims or contributions processing to play a key role in a high-performing team.
The ideal candidate will be someone who thrives in a deadline-driven environment communicates with confidence and takes pride in providing outstanding service to members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and administer withdrawal and retrenchment claims
- Assess documentation to ensure it aligns with internal standards and procedures
- Communicate professionally with members and employers via mail email or phone
- Calculate and verify benefits payable
- Submit statistical reports accurately and on time
- Address queries relating to benefits and the Pension Funds Act
- Prepare and process payments on Workflow and mainframe systems
- Prioritise tasks and analyse data to draw logical conclusions
- Meet deadlines and perform effectively under pressure
Requirements:
- Grade 12 with a proven record of good attendance and reliability
- Minimum 2 years experience in an administrative environment
- Previous contributions or claims processing experience is advantageous
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Confident team player with excellent interpersonal skills
- Well-organised with high attention to detail
- Intermediate MS Office/PC proficiency
- Skilled in problem-solving and adaptable to change
- Customer-focused with a professional and courteous approach
