Learning Support Assistant West London September 2025 Start

Location: Hounslow West London
Contract: September 2025 July 2026 (Term-Time Only)
Pay: 444 per week (PAYE)
Interviews: ASAP

Are you a graduate looking to work as a Learning Support Assistant in Year 6 from September

A Primary School in Hounslow is recruiting a Learning Support Assistant to work with pupils in Year 6. This role is ideal for graduates interested in careers in education teacher training or working with children with additional needs.

About the School:

  • Strong curriculum with emphasis on reading writing maths and holistic learning

  • Committed to supporting pupils with SEND and EAL
  • Offers clubs events and a wide range of extra-curricular activities
  • Regular on-site and external staff training opportunities
  • Sponsorship available for those wishing to train as teachers (QTS route)
  • Early finish at 15:30 with a 1-hour lunch (30 minutes supervision 30 minutes personal break)

The Role:

  • Supporting pupils in Year 6 with learning across reading writing and maths
  • Providing 1:1 and small-group support for pupils needing extra help
  • Assisting pupils who may not always remain in the mainstream classroom full-time
  • Working closely with the Year 6 teachers and SEN team to deliver targeted support

Interview Process:

  • Informal and relaxed chat with the Deputy Headteacher
  • Followed by time in class supporting the teacher and pupils
  • Straightforward one-stage process

Were looking for:

  • A graduate with a UK degree in Education Psychology or a related subject
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • A genuine interest in supporting young people
  • An Enhanced DBS
