Scope of work
Responsible for staffing allocation functions for hospital-based nursing departments including flex and float pools. Performs timekeeping duties as directed.
Analyzes shift-by-shift staffing variances by unit and re-allocates or cancels staff following standard procedures.
Assigns float and flex pool team members to units with staffing deficits and communicates assignments to team members following standard procedures.
Utilizes staffing and scheduling software program(s) to perform scheduling timekeeping and payroll duties as directed by leadership.
Attends meetings compiles data performs staffing recruitment tasks and assists leadership as directed.
Communicates effectively and professionally with co-workers and team members from other departments. Helps others as needed to contribute to the overall success of the department and Corewell Health.
Actively participates in safety initiatives and risk mitigating measures where appropriate and completes all position and unit safety related competencies and requirements on a timely basis.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Hight School Diploma or equivalent Required
2 years of relevant experience office word processing data entry computer applications office coordination supervision secretarial Administrative Assistant health care customer service medical office setting Required
Associates degree in related field Preferred
