The opportunity:
Working closely with the hospitality team you will work within a supportive team environment but still have autonomy in your day to be responsible for delivering resident-centric care in a timely and compassionate manner which enables residents to make the best choices for them to live a happy heathy and safe life in our homes.
This role is perfect for individuals studying cookery courses who want hands-on experience in a supportive and rewarding setting.
Role responsibilities:
- As an integral part of our aged care facility the Kitchen assistant plays a vital role in ensuring the well-being of our residents by preparing and delivering nutritious meals in a professional and efficient manner.
- Prepare daily meals and beverages that meet individual needs of each resident including special dietary requirements as instructed by the Head Chef. Crafting well-balanced and nutritious meals is at the heart of what we do for our residents.
- Excellent safety awareness adhering to strict hygiene and sanitation protocols in food preparation and serving areas to meet regulatory standards.
- Bring your genuine care and compassion to meal times making each dining experience unforgettable and enjoyable for our elderly residents.
- We thrive on teamwork and your positivity and willingness to lend a hand are invaluable. Whether its arriving on time staying informed or supporting your colleagues your teamwork ensures our kitchen runs smoothly.

Qualifications:
- Eligible to work in Australia and living in the local community.
- Prior experience in preparing and delivering meals in a commercial environment.
- Must have the industry compliance of NDIS Workers Screening Clearance or ability to apply for one (this is at your own cost and can take up to a week only to obtain but is a 5 year valid card).
