Job Summary
Work Shift
1 - First ShiftAre you the type of student who has the drive passion and skills to excel as an IT Security Analyst Intern In this role you will help with planning implementing and executing security measures to protect computer systems networks and data. Were looking for a strong problem solver who can think fast and provide solutions to unique and evolving cybersecurity concerns.What Youll Do
1. Help investigate security alerts produced by various security solutions including verification containment and root cause analysis remediation and reporting.
2. Assist with monitoring firewalls data encryption and other security measures. Participate in risk assessments of business and IT initiatives to ensure IT security polices standards guidelines and best practices are considered and implemented.
3. Assist with testing and implementing network disaster recovery plans.
4. Assist with security alert monitoring.
What Were Looking For
- High School diploma required.
- Current student pursuing an Associate or Bachelors degree in computer science or similar field.
- Previous internship and any baseline certifications such as A Network Security preferred.
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals security frameworks and standards.
Travel
- No travel is expected of this position.
Work Location
ONSITE: A team members day-to-day work is best done on a Vermeer campus. If work content can be occasionally completed at an offsite location discuss potential arrangements with your manager.Equal Opportunity Employer
