Electric Power Engineers Inc. (EPE) works with clients on a global scale designing solutions for renewable energy (solar/wind/battery storage) Generation Interconnection Transmission Planning Distribution Planning Distributed Energy Resources (DER) and Smart Grids.

The Power Systems Engineer Intern will perform projects/tasks such as network-wide steady-state and short-circuit studies as well as contribute to process improvement efforts including development of Python scripts. This position will report to an experienced Transmission Manager and be exposed to exciting projects building valuable industry knowledge. Through this opportunity the intern will gain experience with the Texas and Eastern Interconnection power systems.
Qualifications
Bring your passion heres whats needed:
- Completion of or current enrollment in a bachelors masters or PhD degree program with a major in Electrical Engineering Electrical and Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology from an accredited college or university.
- Completion of or current enrollment in power systems fundamentals class(es) (strongly preferred)
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher
Location: Summer 2026 internship are fully in person either at Austin TX or Waterloo Canada
