Job Summary
If you are an Electrical Design Engineer student looking for an opportunity to grow Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you as an Electrical Design Engineering Intern! Based in ourShakopee Chanhassen or Eden Prairie MN locations you will be responsible for the design development and support of industry-leading measurement & analytical instrumentation.
In this Role Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Work with cross-functional teams to support the development of Emersons Automation Solutions products
- Utilize electrical design and development tools used in capturing circuit design schematics laying out printed circuit boards and performing circuit simulations.
- Perform a variety of electronic testing using common laboratory equipment.
- Research and develop new ideas tools and technologies
- Evaluate Emerson systems and electronic circuits to a functional block or component level
Who You Are:
You are a self-motivated team-oriented individual who can set and achieve goals. You are interested in learning problem solving and collaborate well with others. You take personal responsibility for decisions actions and are willing to take feedback. You communicate effectively in various settings (e.g. one-on-one groups and written).
- Pursuing a Bachelors in Engineering or Science from anEngineering School (students of any class status will be considered)
- Zero (0) years ofrelated experience
- Ability to work full-time (40 hours) per week in-person at a Twin Cities location(Shakopee Chanhassen or Eden Prairie MN)
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
- GPA of 3.0 or above
- Prior internship experience

Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary within the local market in which we operate and reward performance during our annual merit review process. The salary/pay range for this role is $25.00- 27.00 per hour annually commensurate with the skills talent capabilities and experience each candidate brings to a role.
