The Product Support Finance group is seeking an early in career Finance Program Cost Controls Analyst. The Financial Program Controls Analyst will provide support to a portfolio ofprograms in direct support of Program Business Management within the LADS SBU and Product Support (MA&S) business area.
In this position the candidate will be exposed to and trained in many different real world businesstools and resources such as the Estimate at Completion (EAC) process for Sarbanes Oxley compliance Annual Operating Plan preparation using the Business Planning (Rplan) system. The candidate will also utilize business software packages such as SAP/APEX and Business Warehouse to provide in-depth analysis for financial reporting of various program funding profiles bookings sales and earnings outlook and forecast billing projections and variance analysis. This position will be an integrated part of a fast-paced finance team where multitasking andpersonal initiative are key requirements. The ability to learn processes quickly and apply knowledge to unique situations will be critical to performing successfully in the position.
What You Will Do
- Provide financial support of programs and tasks will be comprehensive from startup phase of initial proposal support and costing through mature phase of Inter-Organizational Transfer (IOT) processing baselining and budgetary creation sales forecasting and cost control and analysis.
- Provided challenging work assignments on both personal and team assignments that will help shape a foundation for both career and personal development within the world of Finance as well as the general world of Business.
- Receive a wide sampling and vast exposure to potential assignments within Finance and Business ranging from Program Cost and Control Financial Planning and Analysis Proposal Process to Budgets and Planning.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance Economics or Business Administration or equivalent experience
- This position requires 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships).
- Experience using key financial systems and tools (Excel PowerPoint).
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
- U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly and interact effectively with executives.
- Proven critical thinking problem-solving and analytical skills to provide value-added insights.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while meeting critical deadlines.
- Experience applying finance principles practices and controls across various contract types (CPFF FFP T&M etc.).
- Self-starter with strong attention to detail able to work independently with minimal supervision while adapting to a wide scope of assignments .
