Qualifications:Knowledge of subject area content and teaching methodologyMassachusetts ELA licensure and/or Moderate Disabilities licensure (5-12 or 8-12)Experience teaching in special education setting (preferred)Ability to work both collaboratively and independently Understanding of classroom management strategies Strong communication organization and writing skills Schedule:10 months/full time Salary and benefits including vacation time determined by the Executive Director Responsibilities:Plan and deliver effective lessons activities homework and units aligned with MA Curriculum Frameworks Create appropriate curriculum based assessments to measure student understanding and progress and provide feedback to studentsDifferentiate instruction lessons assessments and homework to meet the needs of each student consistent with their IEPComplete IEPs and progress reports on schedule Communicate and collaborate with teammates and colleagues regarding student functioning effective practices and consistent programming.
