Primary English Support Assistant Barking & Dagenham September 2025 Start
Are you passionate about supporting young learners in developing their literacy skills Do you want to play a key role in helping students grow in confidence and academic ability
A thriving and welcoming primary school in Barking & Dagenhamis seeking a committed Primary English Support Assistant to join their team this September. This role is ideal for someone who is enthusiastic about education and eager to make a real difference in childrens writing progress.

Key Responsibilities:
Delivering targeted 1:1 and small group support focused on writing
Helping to improve students writing structure grammar and expression
Assisting teachers with planning and delivering bespoke literacy interventions
Encouraging a love of writing among students
Monitoring pupil progress and reporting back to class teachers
Creating strong nurturing relationships to foster a positive learning environment
Were Looking for Someone Who:
Has a genuine interest in literacy and education
Ideally has experience working with children in a school or similar setting
Is proactive empathetic and passionate about student success
Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Is organised reliable and confident supporting children at different literacy levels
Holds (or is working towards) a qualification in English or a related subject desirable but not essential
