As a pioneer inpilot training CAE operates the worlds largest network of civil aviation training centers and offers comprehensive programs for bothab-initioand experienced pilots. Through itsFlight Training Organization (FTO) CAE delivers industry-leading cadet training programs that prepare future aviators with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in a rapidly evolving aviation landscape.
We are currently seeking a Manager Sales FTO who will be responsible for leading sales efforts for CAE-OAAs ab-initio pilot training business. This role identifies pursues and converts profitable business opportunities ensuring alignment with strategic goals and operational capabilities. The manager will oversee a team of professional individual contributors and collaborate closely with senior leadership to drive revenue growth and optimize cadet intake across flight training centers.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintaining consistent growth in revenue and ensuring that cadet intake matches or slightly exceeds the capacity of the flight schools within the FTO business.
- Lead B2B and B2C sales initiatives for CAE-OAAs ab-initio pilot training programs.
- Identify early-stage opportunities and position CAE competitively in the market.
- Analyze competitor strengths and weaknesses to define strategic advantages.
- Conclude pricing terms and conditions in collaboration with senior management.
- Serve as the primary contact for B2B clients and prospective partners.
- Meet with potential customers to present training programs and explore business opportunities.
- Provide expert guidance throughout the sales lifecycle.
- Partner with Operations to implement and support airline cadet programs.
- Ensure cadet intake aligns with or slightly exceeds flight school capacity.
- Review and improve workflows to enhance business efficiency.
- Lead and guide a team of sales professionals ensuring alignment with departmental goals.
- Execute CAEs project management philosophies and customer-centric strategies.
- Facilitate communication of CAE-OAAs core values and ethical standards.
- Ensure adherence to CAE standards and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with local U.S. teams on competitive tactics and strategic planning.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in sales leadership in aviation or training services.
- Strong understanding of B2B and B2C sales dynamics.
- Excellent communication negotiation and client relationship skills.
- Ability to lead teams and manage cross-functional projects.
- Familiarity with aviation training programs and operational workflows is a plus.
Work Environment:
This position is based in Orlando Florida and supports three local training sites.
The role offers a hybrid work setting but candidates must reside in the Orlando area to ensure consistent access to onsite operations.
The position requires approximately 15% travel including occasional support for other locations such as Savannah.
