Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with couriers freight forwarders offices and customs agents as well as external and internal customers to handle import-export activities and customs interactions.
  • Prepare and check import and export documents for arrivals and shipments from customers/suppliers interacting with them in case of corrections or clarifications.
  • Support in requesting quotations from couriers to facilitate and speed up the collection of material from suppliers collaborating with procurement and warehouse.
  • Define and keep updated procedures and working instructions in line with Thermo Fishers Global Trade Compliance and ensure their application by all company functions.
  • Support in the assessment of materials used for production to ensure preferential origin certifications.
  • Lead projects by collaborating with internal departments transport services and external partners to deliver efficient import/export solutions benefiting clients.
  • Support the management and coordination of arrivals and shipments with Project Managers and warehouse for the projects of the pharmaceutical development unit.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Proven ability in logistics with experience of 3 years in import/export and shipping flows/documents (by land and air).
  • Shown knowledge of HTS classification preferential origins free trade agreements (Incoterm 2020 customs classifications etc.).
  • Ability to understand customs regulations and stay updated on changes in the field.
  • Proficient in English and Italian both written and spoken.
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical sector is a plus.
  • Proactivity and reliability in execution in a highly multifaceted context.
  • Problem-solving demeanor and strong orientation towards customer happiness.
  • Excellent communication skills.
