Description
We are currently seeking a skilled Locum MD (Medical Doctor) or DO (Osteopathic Doctor) specializing in Emergency this role you will play a crucial part in providing immediate medical care to patients in emergency situations. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring the well-being and safety of individuals in need of urgent medical attention. As a Locum MD or DO you will have the opportunity to work on diverse and challenging cases making a significant impact on the communitys health.
Responsibilities:
- Respond promptly to emergency medical situations and provide appropriate treatment.
- Perform medical procedures as necessary such as intubation suturing and wound care.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests to aid in accurate diagnoses.
- Collaborate with nurses paramedics and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for all patients treated.
- Adhere to established protocols and guidelines for emergency medical services.
- Participate in continuous medical education and training to stay current with advancements in emergency medicine.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding diagnoses treatment plans and follow-up care.
Requirements:
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Board certification in Emergency Medicine.
- Valid state medical license to practice as a physician.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certifications.
- Strong decision-making and critical thinking skills in high-pressure situations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including nights weekends and holidays.
Schedule: 5p-1a or 7p-3a
No call required
Level III trauma
Daily Volume: 23 patients
Annual Volume: 60000 patients
Support Staff: APPs
EMR: Cerner
Must be board-certified
