This job gives tasks to the Physical Therapist Assistant and Aides.
The work focuses on helping patients and uses different steps like checking the patient planning treatment providing care and reviewing results based on physical therapy standards doctor orders and rules.
**Responsibilities:**
- (20%)* Assess the patients abilities by doing tests to check muscles nerves breathing and heart health.
- (20%)* Create a treatment plan based on the patients needs and how well they can handle the treatment.
- (20%)* Write down the treatment plan to be included with the doctors approval. Update the plan as needed if the patients condition changes. Sign off on verbal instructions given to the physical therapist assistant when necessary.
- (20%)* Set up a schedule for treatment including how often and how long sessions will be and discuss it with the patient family or caregiver. Coordinate this with the clinical support staff.
- (20%)* Teach the patient family and/or caregiver about their condition treatment options what to expect and why certain treatments are needed.
**Qualifications:**
- Experience as a Physical Therapist
- Required- Experience with Children
- Required- Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
- Required- Experience in Acute Care
- Highly Preferred

Requirements:**
- Basic Life Support (BLS from AHA)
- State Licensing Needs
- Must be licensed in Michigan
