CORPORATE INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

Marriott International offers students the opportunity to find an internship thats right for you putting your education to work. The Marriott International Corporate Internship Program offers all participants an enriching and memorable learning experience.

Interns will experience an innovative learning environment that will provide an opportunity to build skills and gain exposure in the exciting world of hospitality through meaningful projects on-the-job training coaching and support. Youll gain hands-on experience in the exciting world of hotel operations and hospitality from a corporate view. Youll build skills to help prepare you to develop a career path.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The intern will work with Marriotts Area Operations Singapore & Maldives team and based in the Singapore office. The intern will assist in projects and supporting initiatives related to hotel operations. Key responsibilities include:

  • Market research on new/recent projects
  • Participate in hotel and market visits
  • Take ownership of operational projects such as guest satisfaction pre-openings
  • Create and format presentation decks using PowerPoint
  • Perform basic analysis using Excel and other relevant analytical tools
  • Coordinate data / information collection with different teams
  • Manage and respond to e-mails in an effective organized and professional way
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and follow company policies and procedures
  • Assist supervisor in facilitating appointments
  • Assist team members other than your direct supervisor as needed
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested

JOB KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Display strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in handling data
  • Be initiative proactive creative and have the ability to think outside the box
  • Be responsible well-organized and systematic in dealing with assignments
  • Be flexible and adaptable to change and have awareness on different cultures in the region
  • Organizing skill for associate workshops/events capability to co-ordinate with different departments and exchange with hotels operations team.
  • Have a good command of English spoken and written
  • Pro activeness and independence.
  • Have good interpersonal and communication skills - able to work in a team
  • Tech savvy - proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Word Excel Tableau PowerPoint and Outlook

QUALIFICATION STANDARD

  • Education:
    • Undergraduate in Hospitality Management
  • Requirements
    • Singaporean Singapore Permanent Resident Holder or valid student pass / work holiday pass
    • Eligible for undergraduate in a Singapore registered university program / uundergraduate or graduate of a university in Singapore Australia France Germany Hong Kong Japan New Zealand Switzerland United Kingdom or United States.
    • Prepared to commit to a six months internship
  • Grooming:
    • All employees must maintain a neat clean and well-groomed appearance per Marriott standards.
