Job Description
Role Overview:
A VC-backed SaaS startup with $1M seed funding is looking for a Backend Engineer to design and build scalable backend systems for AI-powered products. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments writes clean and efficient code and enjoys solving complex technical challenges.
Role Responsibilities:
- Design develop and maintain scalable backend systems and APIs.
- Optimize database performance and write efficient SQL queries.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and ensure smooth deployments.
- Work with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) for hosting and scaling services.
- Ensure system reliability through observability practices (logging monitoring alerting).
- Collaborate with frontend engineers and product teams to deliver seamless experiences.
Role Requirements :
- 2 years of experience in backend development.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Java.
- Solid understanding of OS fundamentals and networking concepts.
- Experience with AWS/Azure and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with observability tools (logging monitoring).
- Proficiency with Git-based workflows.
- Strong focus on writing efficient scalable and maintainable code.
